Back in 2010, before they were curating controversial international biennials, DIS collaborated with the image-sharing website dump.fm to produce DIS/dump. The project represented a crowd-sourced, user-generated “lookbook” of absurdist “New Style Options in Real Time.”
Their curated documentation of the project is fantastic, and much of the content points to the fact that “fashion” is essentially just censorship of nudity.
